NOTICE OF PROPOSED  AMENDMENT TO SCOTT  COUNTY SOLID WASTE  MANAGEMENT PLAN

The Scott County Board of  Supervisors is requesting public comment for a period of  thirty days commencing with  the date of the first publication  of this public notice and continuing for a period of thirty  days thereafter, regarding a  proposed change to the Scott  County Solid Waste Management Plan as follows:
Terra Renewal, 15797 Hwy  155 East, Dardanelle, AR   72834 (Post Office Box 399,  Dardanelle, Arkansas 72834)  submitted Applications for  Amendment to the Scott County Solid Waste Management  Plan to expand existing land  application sites in Scott County.  Specifically the sites Terra  Renewal seeks to add are as  follows:
Sections 1,13,14,25,26,36;  Township 5N; Range 6E for  approximately 315 acres; Sections 4,7,8,9,10,16,17,18,33;  Township 5N&6N; Range 7E  for approximately 735 acres;  Sections 8,23,24,33; Township  7N; Range 6E&8E&9E for  approximately 340 acres; Sections 1,4,5,30,32,33,35; Township 7N&8N; Range 5E&6E for  approximately 340 acres; Sections 13,14; Township 7N;  Range 5E for approximately  100 acres; Sections 5,6,32;  Township 5N&6N; Range 9E  for approximately 312 acres;  Section 35; Township 8N;  Range 7E for approximately  100 acres; Sections  9,10,15,22,23,24,25; Township  6N; Range 9E for approximately 294 acres
Terra Renewal proposes to  add these sites to those sites  already approved and part of  the existing Scott County Solid  Waste Management Plan.   Terra Renewal proposes to  serve sites within a 250 mile  radius of the addresses noted  above.
The proposed purpose of the  sites is to take organic solids  and rinse water residuals from  food preparation operations,  food processing operations,  poultry processing, and animal  food processing operations  and convert through land application to beneficial use as  fertilizer.  The sites will not be  open to the public.
A copy of the applications,  along with a map of the proposed sites, may be reviewed  and comments may be received at the office of the  Board of Supervisors, 100  East Main Street, Forest, Mississippi during normal business hours or by contacting  Kim Fultz at (601) 469-1926.
A public hearing will be conducted on Monday, November  6 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the  Board Room of the Scott  County Board of Supervisors,  100 East Main Street, Forest,  Mississippi.
