Barbara Babs Beach Day

Babs Beach Day was born August 5, 1948. She passed away in her sleep on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 after losing her battle with cancer. Babs attended Murrah High School in Jackson, MS and graduated with the class of 1966. She received her BS degree in History from MS State University. Babs was a resident of Morton MS for the last 14 years. After retiring from NCR, she worked for and retired from Northside Pet Clinic in Jackson. 
She is predeceased by her parents, Verna and John Beach of Jackson. She is survived by one daughter, Shannon Day Sherrell. She is also survived by a host of cousins and friends, and her lifetime friend Kathy Vaughn, her caregiver for many years. She leaves behind her special loves, her dogs Bebe, Whitney and Shelly and her cat Amber.
Many thanks go out to her caregivers over the last two years at Baptist Cancer Center and in her final days, Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
A celebration of life and worship will be held in her memory at New Hope Fellowship Church, 173 Shady Oak Lane, Pelahatchie MS at 2:00 p.m. on Dec. 2. The service will be followed by fellowship with friends. All are welcome.
To honor her lifelong love of animals, donations may be made on behalf of ARF (Animal Rescue Fund), in Babs’ memory to Northside Pet Clinic, 601-366-1461 for the continued service in the healthcare of Homeless animals of MS.
