Food For Thought: I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26) The Bible speaks often of the heart. The word heart can mean different things depending upon the context. Most often, the heart refers to the soul of a human being that controls the will and emotions. When we are given a new heart by God we behave different. We are challenged daily as individuals; our society today is allowing us to harden our hearts of the many acts of violence that is going on all around us. God has commanded that we do love one another unconditionally this will require hearts that are in sync with His divine will. We need to commit to allow the Holy Spirit to love through our stony hearts.
