The Message

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that he hears us (which He does) —whatever we ask — we know that we have what we asked of Him” 1 John 5:14-15.

As Christians, we need to understand that this verse is speaking about all areas of our lives, not just spiritual. Whatever we need in our lives, God is willing to supply.
Do you recall shopping for Christmas presents for small children in a toy store, when you had plenty of money to buy whatever you wanted?  The excitement and joy would be great for us buying the gifts. On Christmas morning it was exciting to see the look in our children’s eyes as they opened their gifts.  This is a picture of our loving Heavenly Father.  We are His children and He is thrilled to bless us.
“And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it” John 14:13-14.
What a promise from God.  All we have to do is ask, believe, and expect His loving blessings with a thankful heart.  If we’re lacking in any area of our lives, we should come before our Father in Jesus’ name and present our prayer requests. We have to change our thinking from not bothering God and I don’t deserve, to I am His child and He loves and wants me to have the very best!
If your marriage is suffering, then surrender it to God and believe He will restore what you have lost. Do you have someone in your family that has rejected God?  Friends, nothing or no one is too big for our God!  Begin thanking God in faith that this relative is saved and living for Him, even though you might not see it at the present.
Are you suffering financially? His Word tells us, “God will supply all your needs…”  Philippians 4:19.  All means everything. Some Christians don’t believe in prosperity.  Why?  How can you help and bless others if you don’t have anything to give?  If we are to feed and cloth the poor, then we must know it takes money to buy food and clothing. Money is not the root of evil.  God’s Word says, “The love of money is the root of all evil.”  Big difference.  The bottom line:  God first…. everything else after.
If you are facing a big giant in your life or a mountain that seems impossible to move out of your way, trust God, the giant slayer and mountain mover.  If you will trust Him and believe His promises, you will see victory!  Nothing is impossible for Him!
Give thanks because, “The Lord hears the prayer of the righteous (that’s us)” Proverbs 15:29.
