Youth Revival begins March 26

Sympathy to the Holifield, Bobbitt and Hunt families in the passing of Ray Charles Holifield.  His services were held last Saturday, at Midway M. B. Church. His eulogy was delivered by Rev. Randy Lewis.  His Interment was at the church cemetery. 

Midway M. B. Church has started up an active Bible Study each Wednesday Night 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.  Deacon Tevin Nichols is the teacher in the absence of Pastor Ronnie Whittington.  The subject of the lesson is “Leadership.” The subtopic; The character of the leader and what the bible says about the qualifications of a leader.

Midway M. B. Church Youth Revival will begin March 26-March 28, 2018. Monday night message will be delivered by Rev. Walter L. Johnson, III, he is a native of Canton, MS.  He is a graduate of Canton High School and Alcorn State University with a degree in Biology.  He is currently enrolled in the Wesley Biblical Seminary obtaining a Masters of Divinity degree.  He has been endorsed by the National Baptist Convention to serve in the United States Air Force as a Chaplain Candidate. He has completed 400 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education at the Baptist Hospital and he is presently employed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as an IT Project Manager. His favorite scripture is Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

The Christian Education Chairman Dr. Locord Wilson and the Vacation Bible School Director, Patty Odom is asking everyone who plan to attend Vacation Bible School to fill out a registration form.  Supplies must be ordered.  

Our First Lady Vernita Whittington has undergone several surgeries. She is in the hospital in Starkville. She has been moved from ICU to a hospital room.  Her mother Helen Mann is there with her.  Diamond is between the house with her dad and the hospital with her mother. Rev. Whittington’s mother Francis is there with him.   Remember First Lady Whittington and her husband Pastor Ronnie Whittington and the rest of the family in your prayers.

Mandy McBeath had surgery.  She is home doing well.  Remember her and her family in your prayers.
