Local teams are getting set to start the 2018 football season and only have a few more practices before the season kicks off. All Scott County teams are eager to get underway and will start their regular season games this Friday night.

The Scott County Emergency Management Agency is sponsoring a Safety Expo that will be held at Gaddis Park in Forest on August 18 from 9 a.m. through 1 p.m.

Forest Rotary Club sponsored a Stuff the Bus project to benefit Forest and Scott Central elementary schools.

Forest Municipal School District will start the new school year with enhanced security as the school district continues to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to ensuring the safety of all students.

Youth Revival begins March 26

Sympathy to the Holifield, Bobbitt and Hunt families in the passing of Ray Charles Holifield.  His services were held last Saturday, at Midway M. B. Church. His eulogy was delivered by Rev. Randy Lewis.  His Interment was at the church cemetery.
