For the ingredients you will need:

6 cans cut string beans  (any brand) and drain 4 cans of beans into a Dutch oven

Fry one half pound of bacon until crisp and set on paper towels

Scott Regional Hospital, A Division of Rush Health Systems, will be holding their 2018 Annual Health Fair, “Carnival to Better Health” on Thursday, April 26, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the hospital located at 317 Highway 13 South, Morton.


Panthers claim victory over Enterprise, Choctaw Central

Morton High School claimed victory twice last week at home on the diamond. The Panthers defeated Choctaw Central 7-1 Tuesday before winning 6-4 against Enterprise on Saturday.

The Panters were scheduled to take on in-county rival Forest Bobcats Tuesday night. The results from that game were not available at press time.

Forestry Banquet Oct. 26

Second Annual Toy Drive underway

The Scott County Sheriff’s Department began accepting donations Monday in their second annualy Sheriff’s Toy Drive. There is a drop off box at the Scott County Sheriff’s Department in the lobby which is open to the public 24 hours a day. There will be a small drop box at Petals & More in Forest.
