Marshall Massey awarded Lackey Hospital Auxiliary nursing scholarship

The Lackey Hospital Auxiliary awards an annual $1,000 nursing scholarship to a local graduate that has demonstrated academic excellence and plans to further their education in the medical field. The auxiliary group selects the recipient from applications submitted by students from all local area high schools.

Announcements: We Care Mission Food Distribution dates for July are:  Friday, July 6 and Friday, July 20 from 10:00 a.m.-12 noon with registration at Fellowship Hall of Morton United Methodist Church, 29 Church Street. All eligible participants must have required documentation for every member of the household receiving food.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Department began accepting donations Monday in their second annualy Sheriff’s Toy Drive. There is a drop off box at the Scott County Sheriff’s Department in the lobby which is open to the public 24 hours a day. There will be a small drop box at Petals & More in Forest.
