Dale Risher

J. Dale Risher passed away early Sunday morning, December 24, 2017, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Visitation was held Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton, MS.  Graveside services  followed at the Pulaski Cemetery. Reverend Reggie Tatum  officiated.

Mr. Risher was born on June 13, 1935 to the late Mack and Lollie Morehead Risher in Morton, MS. He grew up and lived his entire life in the Pulaski Community. Mr. Risher was Co-Owner and Operator of     D & B Risher Trucking for 42 years and in the trucking business for 45 years. 

He was preceded in death by one brother, Buford Risher and one sister Joyce Bell Risher.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Ann Windham Risher; daughters Pam (Robert) Nutt of Brandon and Paula (Kirk) Wardlow of Springdale, AK; three grandchildren Jonathan (Krystie) Nutt of Ennis, MT; Joel (Austin) Nutt of Jackson, MS; and Anna (Alex) Lake of Kansas City, MO; four great grandchildren Katelyn Nutt; Jackson Nutt of Ennis, MT; Harrison Nutt; Catherine Nutt of Jackson, MS; two brothers Bryant (Linda) Risher; Hal (Jane) Risher, Sr.; one sister Frances (Atlee) Harmon; one sister-in-law Jewel Risher and a host of family and friends.

Pall Bearers were Jonathan Nutt; Joel Nutt; Alex Lake; Hal Risher, Jr.; Henry M. Foreman; and  Eric Nail.

Mr. Risher was a member of Hillcrest Independent Methodist Church, Forest, where memorial donations may be mailed to Hillcrest Independent Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1481, Forest, MS 39074.
